Though Delhi Congress president Jai Prakash Agarwal has replaced Jagdish Tytler on the North-East Delhi parliamentary constituency, Tytler’s image is likely to play a key role in ensuring Agarwal’s victory. It was evident on Monday at a function at Timarpur.

Though aimed at highlighting Government schemes, the function focused more on the relations between the leaders.

“I have not replaced Tytler. I am here to carry forward the development work initiated by him,” said Agarwal. He insisted that Tytler and Agarwal were “two bodies but one soul”. Moreover, a bigger cut-out of Tytler than of Agarwal’s was fixed on the stage and also he was the centre of discussion among hundreds of supporters, who were singing the praises of Tytler.
