In an impressive function organized at the auditorium of the Rajiv Bhawan, two Block Congress Committee presidents of DPCC were presented shields for their appointments as BCC presidents by AICC treasure and MP Shri Motilal Vohra.
In his address, Motilal Vohra said when Smt. Sonia Gandhi became the Congress president in 1998, she had said that though we take work from the Congress workers during night and day, as they are always available for party work, we should learn to honour them too, and he was happy that DPCC president Shri Jai Prakash Agarwal, following Soniaji?s principle, has decided to honour the Congress workers.
Vohra said the BCC president was a very important post, which is the backbone of the party. He said not only the election of the BCC president is very important, but a lot of responsibility is vested on them.
Agarwal said only those parties can survived where the workers are treated with respect and honour. He said the BCC presidents were the party?s strong pillars, and honouring and respecting them amount to honouring the party workers. He said the DPCC had always honoured the BCC presidents, and earlier, the party had gone to the blocks to honour them, as we have realized that if the BCC presidents are strong, it strengthens the party as well.
In the function held today, shields were presented to Pachim Vihar Block Congress Committee president Shri Gouri Shankar Sharma and Sultanpuri Block Congress Committee president Shri Mahavir Agarwal.
