Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Jai Prakash Agarwal on Friday visited his Parliamentary constituency of North-East Delhi to make arrangements for the flood-affected people in the area and distributed food packets.

Agarwal met people of the Yamuna Pushta, ISBT, Shastri Park, Usmanpur and Thisra Pustha, and distributed food packets to them in the afternoon and evening. Residents of the flood-affected areas were evacuated and provided with temporary accommodation. Agarwal said hundreds of people had to leave their homes and live in tents due to flooding of the area.

He said the DPCC was making arrangements for their food in the morning and evening and he was personally supervising arrangements for the distribution of food and fruit packets. He said a medical camp was also being organised where doctors of the DPCC Doctors’ Cell were attending to the patients and distributing free medicines, a DPCC release said.
