Badarpur Khadar in North East Delhi, the last of the Delhi villages to be electrified earlier this year, has now also come on the bus map of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) with the inauguration of a service on Monday by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president and area Member of Parliament J. P. Agarwal. Delhi Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely was also present on the occasion.

Mr. Agarwal was instrumental in raising the issue of lack of power, education and medical facilities in this village, which was provided with some basis amenities by the Delhi Government in the past couple of years.

The introduction of the DTC service on Route No. 33A from Badarpur Khadar to Anand Vihar Bus Terminal is expected to ease the travel woes of villagers on banks of the Yamuna.

Mr. Agarwal said the new bus service would hugely benefit the villagers of Badarpur Khadar, Khajuri Basti Chauhan, Sonia Vihar and Sabhapur village who had to walk long distances otherwise.

The Congress leader said a school will also be built in Badarpur Khadar on Gram Sabha land and efforts are being made to widen the roads.
